About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

SF-Hk-Beijing-Hk-SF

Hello,
I am a US citizen, currently traveling in HK. Would it be okay if I fly to Beijing and stay for 3 nights wth the 72 hour free transit?

SF-Hk-Beijing-Hk-SF won't qualify for the free transit in beijing. You are supposed to apply for a visa for the trip.
