About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Bangkok to Beijing to Mongolia (Canadian)

As a Canadian, what if I fly from Bangkok into Beijing at 1300 on April 13th, but my Trans-Siberian Train doesn't cross the Beijing/Mongolian border until 2000 on April 14th? Would that be allowed?

Or should I fly into Beijing at 2200 on April 13th to cross that Beijing/Mongolian border at 2000 on April 14th?

Are there arrival visa in that I can apply for when I arrive in Beijing?

You will need a visa. Train to/from Mongolia does not qualify for the Transit. The approved train port is Beijing West which is the train to Hong Kong.

No. You have to get one before your trip. You have one month and that's enough time for a visa application.
