Do I need a Visa and will I have enough time to get through customs?

I am a citizen of the USA. I am flying to Thailand through Beijing. I have a two hour layover between flights. Will this be enough time to pass through customs and fill out any necessary paperwork? Will I need to apply for a transit g? Or will they just let me through to my ongoing flight to Bangkok? Thank you in advance for your help!

You don't need visa as you qualify for 24h twov. Two hours would be enough for you to get through customs.
