About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Our entire trip is less than 144 hours

My daughter and I are flying into Shanghai from USA. We leave there 2 days later for Hong Kong 2 days, Macau 1 day, and Hong Kong 2 more days before going back to USA. Do we qualify for the 144 hour free travel? We have filled out information online and were given QR codes. Are we waiting for visas to attach to our passports?
