About 72 hours transit free visa at PEK , Beijing

Hi,
I am U.S citizen. I will fly from WAW, Warsaw Poland to PEK Beijing and stay for 30 hours and leave to TPE, Taipei.
Am I qualified for entry in Beijing with 72 hours transit free? Thanks
