About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am travelling Melbourne - Guangzhou- Tianjin - Tokyo

Hi, I am travelling from Melbourne then transit in Guangzhou and want to stay in Tianjin for some time before heading to Tokyo. Can I use 144h twov?

You will need a visa. Two landings in Mainland China limits you to 24 hours total from scheduled landing in the first mainland city.
