2019 RTW Travel to China by motorcycle

I started my 2019 Round The World solo motorcycle trip on March 1 in Singapore, I am currently traveling through Malaysia then to other S.E. countries. I will be entering China late April at the border or by train from Hanoi. Do I need to have Chinese license for me and tag for my motorcycle? If so what crossing should I go to for obtaining these items? I need to transit through China to a ferry port for South Korea, can you help me?

Yes, you need to apply for some licenses for you and the motor but 'm not very sure about the specific process, maybe you can consult local traffic police station.
