Rome to Beijing with a layover on the way back in Shenzen then to Paris

Hello! I am hoping to plan a trip from Rome to BJ to Paris with the 144 hour visa. My travel plans are looking like it's Rome to BJ and then on my return flight to Paris, I have a layover in Shenzhen to get me back to Paris but would that not qualify me to have the 144 hour visa because of that layover? I would be traveling from April 19 (arriving April 20) to April 25th
