About:Mt. Laoshan

My parents (past 75 years old) are visiting Qingdao and Laoshan is a must visit attraction.

Which line requires the least climbing of steps and still has beautiful scenery please?
Are hiking sticks recommended for them please?

They are suggested to climb the southern line. The distance is relatively short.
