About:Leshan Giant Buddha

Is Leshan Big Buddha open for 18th of April?

Hello,
We are going to there the 18th of April. But if it is under working, we will cancel the trip. Does any body know if it is open? Where can I see official news?
Thanks.

Well, I am not sure. There is no latest news. I am afraid that you can still see the partially of the Giant Buddha. You are suggested to keep closed to the news before going there.

I was there 4 days ago and I can confirm that is still under construction. Head is finished with repairs but all body is covered. And You can't go downstairs to Buddha's feet. Even from the river you can't get a better view since body is fully covered. It's there written that construction will be there until end of March.

Latest news say it will be open for the public mid or latest April. I’ve been there many times, all area of the park is amazing, so you don’t have to cancel your trip, anyway you can see the Buddhas head)))

Hi

So it is open as no plastic sheet covering up (completely done) or still under semi-maintenance with partial plastic sheet covering up some part, please?
