About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Sydney to Shanghai for 2 days then catching a cruise from Shanghai to Japan returning 8 days later

We are flying to Shanghai from Sydney staying in Shanghai for 2 days then going on a cruise from Shanghai to Japan for 8 days then returning to Shanghai to catch a flight back to Sydney same day What will we need please

Your proof of onward travel plus hotel reservation. Keep in mind that if Shanghai is not your only stop in Mainland China then you need a visa.
