About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

I stop over in hk both on arrival to Guangzhou and on departure, am I able to use the 72 hour visa?

Brussels-Hk layover- Guangzhou
Then
GZ- Hk layover- GZ

You need a visa. Hong Kong-Guangzhou-Hong Kong isn't a transit, it's a visit to China.
