Will Visa Be Needed If going to Macau >Shanghi>US for 3 days?

Hello,

I am trying to see if I qualify for the 144 hour twov with only having time in Macau before going into Shanghai for 3 days and then back home to the US? No one can seem to answer me anywhere.

Macau >Shanghi>US qualifies for the 144h free transit in Shanghai. Nice trip.

So to clarify My flight is direct into Shanghai from the US, where I will be making a connecting flight to Macau(being there a total of 4 days) then returning to Shanghai for 3 days before returning home. Is this still plausible for the 144-hour transit visa then?

US-Shanghai-Macau-Shanghai-US obviously qualifies for 24/144 hours transit without visa in both directions (as long as those are your only stops and your passport is from one of the 53 countries listed). I don't know why no-one could give you the answer, it's the simplest of itineraries.
