Chinese Z to L Visa

I currently have a Z but I am quitting my job in a few months. Once I am terminated they automatically give me a 30-day stay visa. I would like to know if it's possible to apply for an L while in China so I could stay 2 months after I am terminated.

It's possible for you to change your work Z into tourist L type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. You can contact them to inquire the details.
