Can an Irish passport be eligible for the 5 days Shenzhen VOA?

Hi, I am an Irish citizen with a valid passport, expiring year 2020. I am in Hong Kong right now and would like to travel to SZ. Are Irish citizens eligible for the 5 days VOA upon arrival through the Lo Wu port? Also, how much for the visa fee?

Well, I am afraid not. You need to apply for the visa in advance in your country.

I also have a Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card. Can I apply for the visa using this?

Well, I am not sure. You are advised to consult the Exit-entry Administration of Shenzhen Public Security Bureau.
