About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

A few questions

We will arrive late at night. Is the special 72-hour free transit desk at customs open 24/7?

With regards to onward flight documentation, can this be an airline confirmation email or will this need to be a proper boarding pass?

We are looking to use this transit twice - the second time will be one week from the first time. Will this be an issue? We will fly from Melbourne to Seoul via Shanghai (via Shanghai for both inbound and outbound journeys) but we hold UK passports.

Thank you!

Immigration is staffed as long as there are international flights which is basically 24/7 in major airports. As long as your travel qualifies, you are able to use the free transit in China, and there is no limit on how many times you can apply for it.
