About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Hong Kong - China - UK

Hi!

I'm planning to fly from Hong Kong to Shanghai Pudong, stay there for up to 72 hours then depart Shanghai for the UK - can I benefit from this 72 hour scheme here?

Make sure Shanghai > UK does not make a landing in Honk Kong (even for an hour). If it does china will view this as Hong Kong > Shanghai > Hong Kong which is not allowed without visa, regardless of actual destination.
