About:China Customs Declaration

Personal iPhone taxed

I had my personal iPhone (received as a gift) out of the box and in my pocket and the original box in my luggage. Was checked at customs and taxes.

Is this legal at all? It’s my personal phone, not something I’m going to sell or gift.

Generally, it should not be taxed. You are suggested to contact to the customs to learn more.
