About:Year of the Ox

Pick a superstition

The concept of zodialogical analysis can be very entertaining and quite fascinating. Still, I find it astonishing how people will actually live their lived based the interpretation of the movement of celestial bodies - most of which are balls of super-heated balls of hydrogen/helium gas (some over 1,000 light-years away).

I read my info for the Chinese zodiac and compared it to the same information on the standard 1/2 month, 12 sign zodiac.

I discovered my lucky color was green ... however, it is also my unlucky color and my real lucky color was red.

I discovered I am a water sign and I should avoid fire signs and while one superstition says the direction south is associated with fire, the other says it is one of my best directions.

I should by all means avoid the numbers 3 & 4 as they are unlucky, meanwhile I am also told that 3 & 7 are my lucky numbers. I am also told 9 is an unlucky number for me, while also discovering 1 & 9 are my lucky numbers.

I am told that my animal from one zodiac is incompatible with the animal from the other zodiac... unless of course, I choose to view it from the other direction. In such case, we are a perfect match!

Does anyone really believe any of this actually has some bearing on reality?
