I was granted visa but I couldn’t go

I was granted a x last August but I couldn’t go due to family issues. What should I do since my school in China already admitted me for the upcoming semester and they will be sending my documents I.e jw202 and admission notice

If your previous student X type is invalid, you can apply for a new X type from the China embassy to visit China.
