About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

stop over outbound and return shanghai and beijing

HI there, I am hoping to travel LONDON-SHANGHAI-JAPAN-BEIJING-LONDON. Would both stop overs be included on transit visas as I am leaving china to enter.

If your passport is from one of the 53 qualifying countries you don't need a transit visa for up to 144 hours in both Shanghai and Beijing on that route. If you don't have one of those passports, you are limited to 24 hours in each city without a visa.

Brilliant, Thank you so much I have been worrying about leaving china and re entering on my return. I have a British passport so I should be ok. Great news.
