transit visa requirment

i am living in auckland but have a pakistani passport. i am going to pakistan using air china which stops at beiging for 12 hours do i need a transit g as i wanted to go out of the airport stay in a hotel for 12 hours

You can avail of the 24h twov in Beijing after arrival. No need to apply for transit G type and you are able to leave the airport for the hotel.
