How to inform Airline?

Hi, I am transiting through Shanghai. I flying with Peach Airline from Tokyo to Shanghai, before boarding a different airline (Vietnam Airline) to Paris. Peach airline is a low-cost japanese airline, how do I make sure I can inform them about the 72 twov exemption? what if they do not give me a departure/arrival card?
Thanks

You tell them when you check-in and/or board in Tokyo, and you must present your confirmed ticket from Shanghai to Paris. Always refer to "144 hours transit without visa", not "72visa exemption". If you don't get an arrival card on board, you can get one on arrival in Shanghai.
