Fixed prices on bullet train?

Hello!
Travelling in march. Are the tickets price fixed or depending on demand etc?
Is it good to book in advance?
Hangzhou-Huaihua
Huaihua-Kunmin
Kunmin-Guilin
Guilin-Shenzhen

The ticket price is fixed, except overnight high speed D rides. March is not the peak season but still need to book Guilin related routes in advance.
