About:China Visa

Can I convert my L to Q visa without leaving China?

Hi,
My wife is Chinese and we married in China.
Currently I'm in China with L, can I convert my L to Q or any visa that I can permanently stay in China without leaving the country?

You can try to apply for the conversion at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can succeed, you don’t need to go back to your home country for that.
