144 hour visa - multiple entry to China

I’m flying from London to Chengdu where I’ll spend 3 days, then to Hong Kong for 3 days then to Beijing for 3 days before flying back to London. Can I utilise the 144 hour visa in both Chengdu and Beijing since Hong Kong is a 3rd country? I’m a UK citizen.
