About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

HELP. This will be the first time we will be travelling to China,

this will be part of a business trio. This is what we want to do

From London to Beijing (visit Great Wall of China) 2/3 days
Beijing to Hong Kong 2 days
Hong Kong to Shenzhen Area - 2/3 days
Hong Kong to Macau - 2/3 days

My question is what visa do I need to get or can I use the 72 hour free transit?

Thanks

You will need a visa for Hong Kong > Shenzhen > Macau as the 24 hour transit in Shenzhen is not allowed when next stop is Hong Kong or Macau.

Actually you can get a one-entry Shenzhen visa on arrival for a fee, although the same fee will get you a 2-year tourist visa in the UK. Also Shenzhen VOA only allows you to stay within Shenzhen city limits and leave to Macau by ferry at Shekou port.

You don't need a visa for London-Beijing-HK if there are no stops in between. You can get a visa on arrival for Shenzhen at some of the land or sea border crossings and go to Macau by ferry. However getting a visa in advance saves you money as your Shenzhen visa is only good for Shenzhen and single-entry while applying in the UK gets you a 2-year visa for the same price. It also means less wait at immigration.
