About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Transiting from LAX to Shanghai Pudong Airport then going to Cebu and vice versa

I am from Philippines and I US tourist visa. I have a flight from LAX transiting to Shanghai Pudong International Airport going to Philippines and vice versa. Do I need a transit g?

If the layover time in Shanghai is no more than 24 hours each way, no need to apply for visa.

Am I also allowed to transit coming back to US? I my flight also transits to PVG going to US.
