About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Toronto to Guangzhou to Ho Chi Minh City

Canadian citizen travelling from Toronto to Ho Chi Minh City via Guangzhou. My layover in Guangzhou should only be about 4 hours so time shouldn't be an issue at all but because of how visitor entry permits are handled in Vietnam I won't have a proper VISA for Vietnam until I arrive there in person. I will have all of my other paperwork (passport, plane tickets, itinerary, etc.) plus whatever pre-approval documentation I get from Vietnam prior to arrival.

Will I have any issues receiving a TWOV?

Immigration no longer rchecks documents (and you are not likely to face them anyway-not sure about Guangzhou but in Beijing and Shanghai you will simply clear transit security).
