Children with new passports

Hi,
My family (all US citizens) will be laying over through PEK airport and traveling between terminals 2 and 3 but not leaving the airport. But my sons (ages 7and 11) will be traveling with passports less than 3 months old. Will there be a problem if we do not leave the airport?

The 3-month period is the passport's remaining validity, i.e., three months before the passport EXPIRES.
