How much advance time is need from Zhuhai to HKIA (I heard 3 hrs)?

If I leave Zhu Hai on the 9:30am ferry to HKIA and arrive at 10:40am, will I be able to check in for my flight at 12:20pm? I thought there was a 3hr min otherwise, they won't sell you a ferry ticket.
