1. How long does it takes for normal China application (Malaysian)? 2. Do you required a return flight ticket during China application?

Thanks. Coz I only can apply for the return flight ticket 7 days before the actual return date. Eg. Actual return date 31 Jan, I only can purchase 24 Jan. I need to apply my visa on 21 Jan as my departure to China is on 26 Jan. Is there any ways?
