About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Working residence permit for me (and wife)

I will undertake a postdoctoral position in China. I got the working permit, which specifies that my wife is coming with me. I entered China (alone) with my Z visa. My wife will arrive in three weeks. Should I get my residence permit now and then my wife's? Or should I wait for my wife and get the permit together.

you can make your resident permit first and when your wife here then you can start work on her resident permit. as long as s1 type visa is better to bring spouse to china and that have one month stay already, this time is enough to make resident permit to your spouse.
