Spanish passport 144 hour transit for Chengdu from Hong Kong and back?

I have a Spanish passport. Can I fly from HongKong to Chengdu and get a 144 hour twov. Stay in Chengdu for 144 hours and fly back to HongKong?

Of course not. That's a visit to China and not a transit. You need a visa.
