Hi. I'm flying JFK-PEK-NRT. All on (CA) Air China Arrive at PEK around 5:30am.

What is the process after I deplane- Will I go though immigration ... or just security before finding the gate for the next flight to NRT?

According to the situation, it is an international to international transfer both in T3 at PEK. The transfer procedures are the following:
Flight Arrival - Transfer Procedures - Border Inspection - Security Check - Custom Inspection - Waiting & Boarding
