About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need a visa. I am an NZ citizen. Thank you

I will be travelling from Rome to Guangzhou on flight CZ646 and then from Guangzhou to Christchuch NZ.
I just noticed that flight CZ646 says it has stopover in Wuhan.

You cannot apply the 72h twov because of the layover in Wuhan. You are supposed to apply for a visa beforehand.

If your transit time in China is under 24h you're fine for the 24h twov and you don't need a visa.
If it's over 24h, you have to apply for a visa beforehand.
