About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

New York-Shanghai-Ho Chi Minh

Hi, I’m traveling to Ho Chi Minh on Dec 25. I’ll be lay over in Pu Dong Airport in shanghai for 18 hours. Based on the guides, I don’t need entry permit if I want to go out side and visit Shanghai for a quick day trip? Thanks!

Yes, you don't need a visa because you are able to use the free transit in Shanghai.
