Can I bring a ring?

I bought an engagement ring for my gf. I am visiting her and want to give it to her. Do I need to report it? Will they take it from me?

Well, you need to declare it and if your ring values more than CNY 2000, you may need to pay the tax. Don't worry, they won't take it.
