About:Baggage Allowance for Chinese Domestic Flights

My wife works in China and I want to bring the family dog over to China.

Am I allowed to enter China with the animal if I am on a dependent visa and not a work visa? (Somewhere I read that only Z-visa holders could bring animals into the country).

Yes, as I know, the Z-visa is necessary.
