About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Different airline tickets

Hi, I think the transit visa applies for me but I'm just worried as now as I booked everything myself and have bought two separate return flight tickets, one is a return ticket from Christchurch to PEK and the other is a return ticket from PEK to Seoul. I will be in Beijing less than 72 hours though.

Christchurch - PEK (flight ticket 1) 23/12
PEK - Seoul (Flight ticket 2) 25/1
Seoul - PEK (Flight ticket 2) 26/12
PEK - Christchurch (Flight ticket 1) 26/12
sorry, second flight is 25/12 not 25/1!
Is this ok?

Sorry I meant second flight is leaving 25/12. I’m really worried about this now!

Where does your Christchurch to PEK flight stop? If you have a connection in China then you’ll need a visa.

What if I change my flight to Korea so it leaves the same day?

Two stops in China limits you to 24 hours transit without visa from scheduled arrival time in Guangzhou to scheduled departure time from Beijing. You can either change your flights or get a visa.
