About:Kunming Airport

My first stop in China will be in Kunming Airport for approximately two hours

Then I'll carry on to Beijing where I have a 16 hour layover. My total time in China will be less than 24hrs. Will I be able to leave the airport in Beijing on a 24 hour transit visa?
