About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

Help to approximate time spent in airport

Hello!

I will soon be going to Shanghai, arriving at Pu Dong airport, Terminal 2, it will be next Friday, in the afternoon at 15 hours.
I would like to go straight to Wuxi by train and spend the night there. I would like to book the train ticket in advance. For this I would like to approximate the max time spent in the airport, for things like applying for visa free entry, getting my luggage, going through customs and arriving at the airport shuttle / train station or worst case, the taxi station. Would someone be able to help me here, how long it would take all this on a busy day?

After getting to the airport shuttle, I know that will take around 90 minutes to town and from there I could approximate how long it would take to arrive to the train station to take the train to Wuxi.

Another curiosity would also be how to reach Changjing Town (Wuxi city) from Wuxi Central area. I could not see any train or metro in the area, so I guess that would by bus or taxi.

Thanks a lot for your answers! Can't wait to get there! :-)

In Friday afternoon, I advise you to travel by metro instead of airport shuttle bus in case of getting stuck in the traffic jams, although it can be crowded on the metro train. It takes about 1.5 hours from Pudong airport to Shanghai Railway Station by metro. Leaving 1.5 hours for exit procedures in the airport, 1 hour for boarding procedure at the railway station and 0.5 hour for you to find the way, so you'd better buy the train ticket leaving after 20:00.

Arriving at Wuxi Railway Station, you may take a taxi to Changjing Town, taking about an hour or so.
