Multiple Transit in one visit.

Hello,

I am an Australian citizen. I arrive Guangzhou from Adelaide and have a 11 hours transit in Guangzhou. My next flight to my final destination leaves Guangzhou in the morning and goes via Urmaqi. I have 10 hours transit in Urmaqi. Do I need a transit g for my transit in Urmaqi? Is there a transit visa that covers all China.? As Australia citizen I can apply for 24 /72 hour transit but will that same permit cover me when I arrive in Urmaqi?

You need a visa if your transit involves Urumqi., Although I don't think it's a smart idea to travel through Xinjiang given the current situation there.
