How long will it take to apply for a tourist visa?

Hi, I'm from Malaysia living in Japan. My husband and I are planing to visit Shanghai for a week. As I can't take a day off, so I wonder how long it takes to apply for a tourist L. Is it possible to have it completed before 12 noon?

It usually takes four working days for the processing. You can find someone else to submit your application to the visa office on your behalf if you cannot go there in person.
