About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Domestic travel when passport is submitted for temporary resident application

I will need to travel within China within the first 30 days when I reach shanghai. May I know if I can still take a domestic flight when my passport is with the PSB for processing of temporary resident permit?

After you submit your passport, the PSB will give you a pick-up slip. You can use this slip to travel within the country.

According to the regulation of visa office in beijing .If your passport in the process for visa , you can use the Collection slip for your domestic trip . We often call them Yellow paper. But you need return back to your visa apllication city before the collection time on your slip .During the period , you can use the Yellow paper hotel , airport , training etc. Except banking .Hope this can be able to help you.
