About hongkong visa from srilanka

I am following a course in china. I have entry permit for stay one year in china. But i like to visit hongkong. I have stilankan passport. So what is the procedure i adopt.

If you go there for tourism purpose, you need to provide copy of passport, the application form affixed with a passport-style photo, residence permit or valid visa in China, proof of your financial support, transportation and accommodation arrangement, and your travel plan. Next, submit the application to the liaison office of HK government to apply for HK tourist visa.
