Do most vendors in Beijing not accept credit cards?

We have heard that for purchases, electronic payments (such as through WeChat) or cash are typically used. Is this correct? Do most vendors in Beijing not accept credit cards?

Yes, electronic payments, such as WeChat and Alipay are very popular in China now, and you are very recommended to pay by them. But the big shopping malls and big restaurants in Beijing will also accept credit cards.
