About:Chinese Etiquette

My business has a vendor from China visiting soon in the USA. When do you give the gift?

You mentioned a pre-paid card if in China, but they are coming to the US and won't be here long so they won't have time to spend a pre--paid card here. If I give a local gift, do you give it upon introduction or later, perhaps over lunch or as they are leaving?

In this case, a pre-paid card may not be very appropriate. You can surely send them some souvenir of local style. Generally, the best timing to present the gift is after the farewell lunch.
