I'm hanging around a guy and I noticed we started connecting and showing more affection

I'm a rooster and he's a snake we love video games and he never fails to make me smile no matter what but he lives in Canada and I live in Florida. Could we ever be able to live a life together? He's sweet cute always laughing and he so silly and when I think of him my heart pounds and I hate admitting it but I've grown really attached and I'm scared to see what will happen im fine being friends but I know I want more and yet I tell myself to stop trying and just forget about it. Maybe it isn't meant to be?
