About:Wuxi Ancient Kilns Relics Museum

My Q2 visa 10 y expJan2026. I noticed only 120 day allowed - had bought tickets for 180 day stay.

The Q2 visa is discussed with details of max 180 day stay in China per instructions and internet. I received end of Jan 2016, used for earlier trips. Before I noticed the visa stamped in my passport says max 120 d stay, I had bought tickets for the 180 d stay allowed for Q2 visas. Can I fix this in USA at China consulate or on arrival in China to permit 180 day stay this time? Of must I rebook return flight per the 120 d maximum typed on my visa in passport (paying for changing return ticket)? Then sort out when in China. Have not found on internet this question or related replies. Visiting wife and her family in China after our son graduates USA high school this June, so important to me.

You cannot change the duration of stay as the visa has been issued, but you can try to apply for an extension at the exit and entry administration in China to get 180 days in total. But it depends on the immigration officer how long of the extension will you really get.

Thanks. Changed flight to return within 120 d and will ask (with Chinese wife) at admin for extension when I am there.
